My work occasionnally does bug blitzes, which involves the whole development team either looking for bugs, or purely fixing bugs for a day or two…no other work is done. There are usually prizes for whomever finds/fixes the most bugs, home baked cookies or some such.

I have won, every-single-time. I have got an eye for them I guess. It’s a small point of pride.

Recently, they did another one…..while I was temporarily assigned to another team. For the first time, they had CASH PRIZES, like $125 for first place, and I didn’t even know about it. I don’t actually think they waited until I was out of the way, but BAH….I would have so nailed that prize money.
