3 injections. It took 3 injections to freeze my lower left mouth for a cavity fill, and I was still feeling twinges. My jaw hurts now, just from tensing in anticipation. We got through it, the worst that happened was just twinges and pinches, but I was on tender hooks in worry the whole time, just imagining the breakthrough to a nerve cluster that would send me to the roof.

Now it just feels like I have a golfball in my mouth. Breakfast was a challenge.
