My knee hurts.

I mean….it REALLY hurt. I had trouble with the stairs at home this morning. I had trouble with the car clutch driving to work. I don’t understand why. I did nothing dramatic yesterday. We had people over sewing fencing jackets as loaner armour for the SCA fencing group, which meant more or less it was a non-active day, but I was still mildly moving around. Should be the ideal recipe for no strain, but no sendentary stiffening either. In other words, my knee should be the picture of health.

Here is what I suspect. For the last couple of weeks I have been on prescription strength ibuprofen. A nerve under my molar was enflamed, and the drugs were an effort to calm it down and stave off a root canal, which just sounds really unpleasant. I’ve also been keeping up with my gym schedule. I finished the pills on Friday, giving me a couple of days free of the influence. I am wodnering if there was gym strain that I wasn’t aware of because I had a horse load of ibuprofen in my system, and it has now caught up to me since I don’t have any more.

Oh, and here’s the shiny cherry to top it off, my molar, which was feeling better, is also starting to go back to being sensitive. I’m seeing the dentist this afternoon for a followup…I really, really, really hope there is a solution that doesn’t involving excavating the nerve under the molar. It’s the same molar that he recently put a filling into (month and a half ago or so), and we are guessing that operation is the one that enflamed it. At the least, if it comes to it, I am hoping he says “sorry, my bad, no charge”.

Stupid teeth, stupid nerve, stupid knee.
