It seems to be responding to treatment. I’ve been using a microwaveable gel pack to apply heat, popping my pills….so far, it’s noticeably less pronounced. It’s still tender under pressure, but because it’s smaller, it doesn’t get subjected to as much pressure.

My doctor actually called me, on a day he isn’t in the office, to ask how it was going. I can only assume he wanted to know how likely he was to have to operate on me…but it surprised me he specifically called to get an update.

We’ll see…with a bit of luck, he will judge it as not needing any additional care beyond the antibiotics and heat compress.
