MAPLE

We were going to go to a cabane a sucre outside Rigaud Quebec today, but learned there wasn’t room late last night. Instead, green_ogre, shyska, and ilanikhan came over to our house, and collectively (with Helen getting the ball rolling), we made a cabane worthy breakfast feast. I ran out and got supplies, we had maple breakfast sausage, maple bacon, normal bacon, peameal bacon, pancakes, buckwheat pancakes, strawberries, whipped cream, orange juice, coffee, scrambled eggs, and sugar pie (which only 2 of us actually had any).

And of course a gravy boat full of maple syrup.

Oh my god indulgent!

I still have 3/4 of a sugar cream pie in the fridge, and I need to share it. If you have a good place for me to deliver it to…I’m all ears. Helen is visiting green_ogre tonight after their trip to Montreal, so I am considering what I plan to do with my evening, and realy REALLY wishing this cold was done. It’s definitely going down though. Symptoms are less and less each day.

Pondering finitedancer’s poker night….mostly for the good company. I wonder if I could escape actually having to play poker.
