carcassone rules

Apparently, there have been variations in rules for the game of Carcassonne.

Depending on version, I’ve understood farmers all wrong.

It’s either
-for each completed city, count who has the most farmers serving that city. Winner gets 4 points (each city can only be scored once)
or
-for each farm field, count the number of completed cities that adjoin it, and score 3 points each (each city can score once per farm field it touches

I’ve always played with the second condition, but worth 4 points. I will have to consult Helen’s copy, and see which version it mentions. I think I like the 3 point option personally, makes farmers a little less powerful.

Also, apparently 2 tile cities are now worth the normal 4 points, instead of the 2 point mini-city penalty. Again…need to check.
