I have some friends, I am not sure how many (green_ogre), that use a cellphone as their only phone service, abandoning use of a landline entirely.

How’s that working for you? It’s something I have considered for a while. The landline at home costs ~$45 a month, and that gets you a perfectly adequate monthly plan on most cell services (probably even less than that). Of course, there is the fact that you only have 1 phone, and it needs charging in order to be ready. How annoying is that?
