*ring*
I am just doing some research on cell phones, and damn if there are a LOT of choices out there. Last time I did this research, it was only for pay as you go models, and under a premise that it would be used just a few times a month…maybe. What qualifies as a good choice under that scenario, has nothing to do with good choices under a more dedicated use.
If you have a phone, which provider did you pick, and why? Did you pick a phone first, then find a provider, or pick a provider, and then choose an available phone. How important were phone features, vs provider features (rate plans, coverage, data download options).
If I go cellular instead of land line, it won’t be for a little while yet (maybe not even until I move), so the options available to me may change, but all the same, with so many companies, and such similarity in the basic service, I’m just trying to figure out what sets them apart. Telus, Rogers, Bell, Fido, Virgin, and Cellular one seem to be the big ones, but there are a bunch of others to.
I suspect I will wait long enough to see how much an iPhone costs in Canada, but I suspect it will be stupid expensive (at a guess, ~$700-$800), and ultimately may not be worth it based on how I would use it…but it’d be cool.
on another note…anyone planning to go see Transformers tonight?
